LGBTQ+ people continue to face a range of health and wellbeing challenges linked to discrimination, stigma and barriers to accessing services. This conference will bring professionals, practitioners and community groups together to share learning and improve understanding.
We expect delegates from health, wellbeing, social care and community sectors, along with local LGBTQ+ organisations. The programme will cover support around smoking, alcohol and drug use, mental health and emotional wellbeing, screening and health awareness, the importance of safe, inclusive spaces, HIV prevention and care and more. We will also highlight local projects and approaches making a difference across Calderdale and Kirklees.
