Work continues with Project Hope to support career development opportunities for care experienced young people across West Yorkshire. Meetings continue to take place with organisations around further opportunities and we have been working with Lloyds Banking Group who have developed a bespoke offer for our care experienced young people between the ages of 18-25 who live in West Yorkshire.
Lloyds Banking Group are offering a maximum of a potential 12 full time permanent Customer Support roles within their teams in Leeds and Halifax in collaboration with Project Hope. The roles will be based within one of the groups banking hubs for the first 3 months to gain confidence and competency within the role, with the roles then becoming hybrid, working mainly from home with some working from the hub.
As these are permanent jobs there will be an assessment process required to be met as part of this which will take place via Teams. This assessment process has been tailored to be as supportive as possible.
We have attached a guide LBG_Project Hope_SupportGuide_FINALJuly which sets out further information on the roles, application and internal vetting process and the key skills Lloyds are looking for, these key skills are:
- Digital Mindset
- Listening
- Questioning
- Call handling
- Empathy and Compassion
- Passion for Digital and Tech
- Personal Ownership
- Desire to learn/ Growth Mindset
Given the potential amount of available roles we will be widening these opportunities out further than to our current Project Hope applicants
We will be looking at setting up a group call with Lloyds, likely in September, where young people can find out more about the roles, application process and have the opportunity to ask any questions. The interview questions will also be able to be shared in advance on this call.
If you could please let us know the names and email addresses of any care experienced young people who would be potentially interested in these roles by the 23rd August we can then make sure we invite them to the group call with Lloyds. Please send details to wyicb-wak.cypf.program@nhs.net marked for the attention of Project Hope.
