the NRYWU are saddened by the news of the closure of the British Youth Council. Many of the Units have worked in partnership with BYC for over a decade, supporting their work to give young people a voice and platform to make positive change. We are glad that the government has expressed its ongoing commitment to the UK Youth Parliament (UKYP) and we will be working with young people, youth workers and youth services in each of our regions to seek to ensure that young people continue to have a voice locally, regionally and nationally. Our thoughts are with the Board of Trustees, employees and all those affected by this news.
