The Politics Project is launching a Youth Steering Group, and we’re looking for enthusiastic 14-20 year-olds from across the UK to join us and help shape our future projects and programmes!
What is the Youth Steering Group?
The Youth Steering Group is a new initiative designed to give young people a voice in shaping how The Politics Project engages with politics and democracy. This group will not only help us refine our current programmes and resources but will also empower members to lead on important projects, contribute to strategic decisions, and act as ambassadors for TPP at key events.
Why should young people apply?
Participating in the Youth Steering Group will provide invaluable opportunities for personal and professional growth. Members will develop leadership and communication skills, gain insight into the workings of a national organisation, and contribute to meaningful change. It’s a fantastic addition to any CV or UCAS application, and we aim to make it a rewarding experience for all involved.
Who should apply?
We’re looking for young people who:
- Are aged 14-20 years old
- Can commit to online meetings every other month and two in-person training days
- Have an interest in politics and democracy
- Are eager to share their ideas and perspectives
No prior experience or specific qualifications are needed. We are especially keen to hear from young people from underrepresented backgrounds.
Applications are open until 11:59 pm on Thursday, 19th September 2024. The process is straightforward, and applicants can submit their answers in writing, via video, or as a voice note.
