the Youth Innovation Conference, will take place on Wednesday, 2nd April 2025, at the prestigious University Academy 92 (UA92) in Manchester.
there is the opportunity for young people to deliver a workshop at the Youth Innovation Conference. We are open to any workshop ideas the young people want to deliver, some potential topic subjects include: E-sports, technology, marketing and social media.
We ask if you can provide a workshop title and the names of the people who will be delivering the workshop.
The youth-led workshop will be 40 minutes long, and we’re open to ideas from the young people you’re working with on what it should cover. The workshop will be delivered by young people to an audience of like-minded young people, as well as various organisations and stakeholders. Workshops will be held in rooms that accommodate around 30 people and are equipped with tables, chairs, and projection screens.
As mentioned, there’s flexibility in how the workshop is structured. Previously successful workshops have included an introduction, an icebreaker activity, interactive exercises, group discussions, and time for Q&A at the end.
General Information
The Youth Innovation Conference is an exciting opportunity to widen the conversation surrounding young people’s views, aspirations and issues. The current situation across the country regarding the youth offer is, as we all know, fragmented and, in many ways, influenced by an adult-led or institutional agenda.
Young people want their voices and imaginations to influence change and for providers to have a collective vision towards better supporting their needs. Last year the Youth Innovation Conference began addressing this imbalance by involving young people and professionals in co-produced solutions to many of the pressing issues that young people face today in an exciting array of workshops and discussions.
