“Gerrin’ on wit’ it” podcast series
This week we went live with the first episode of our new podcast series about collaboration in Yorkshire and the Humber – Gerrin’ on wit’ it
We’ve teamed up with our Y-PERN and Leeds Business School colleagues, and we’re sitting down to chat to researchers, policymakers, local government leaders, and community advocates who are doing the hard work of bringing people together across Yorkshire and the Humber.
For our first episode, join Andy Mycock and Paul Hayes as they set the scene of the context and history of this work so far in the region, and the different stakeholder groups and collaborators making this happen.
We have recorded our 6 initial episodes that will be released on a weekly basis where guests will share the work they’re doing in the region:
👉 Joe Cook on Hull’s community-first research model
👉 Dan Olner on being embedded within South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority
👉 Kate Macdonald on amplifying community voice
👉 Kersten England CBE DL on decades of local government leadership
👉 Peter O’Brien on how 12 Yorkshire universities collaborate with a shared mission

We’re keen to produce more episodes throughout this year to showcase other examples of collaborative and sharing the realities of working across sectors in this way, so get in touch if you’d be interested in discussing an episode idea.
