How to find us
The Youth Work Unit (YWU) is based within the Priory Street Centre at 15 Priory Street. It is set back from the road and access is through the main reception. Please call the YWU on 07731 386046 upon arrival. Priory Street is located off Micklegate, York inside the city walls and only 5 minutes away from the train station and major route bus stops.
Please note that parking onsite/on road is limited and payable – fees can be found on the Priory Street Centre website here

From A64 Eastbound (from the A1 and Leeds)
Take the exit for York City Centre A1036, follow signs to City Centre. At the crossroads facing Micklegate Bar, go straight on through the bar. Priory Street is your first right approx. 300m. 15 Priory Street is set back from the main road approx. halfway down on the left.
From the A64 Westbound (from Scarborough)
Take the exit for York City Centre A1036, follow signs to City Centre. At the crossroads facing Micklegate Bar, go straight on through the bar. Priory Street is your first right approx. 300m. 15 Priory Street is set back from the main road approx. halfway down on the left. (Other exits from the A64 towards the city centre are available but this is the most direct).
From the A19 (Selby/Hull)
Continue to A64 junction, take A64 towards Leeds. Take the exit for York City Centre A1036 At the crossroads facing Micklegate Bar, go straight on through the bar. Priory Street is your first right approx. 300m. 15 Priory Street is set back from the main road approx. halfway down on the left.
From the North A1
Exit the A1 at Junction 47 A59 towards York. Continue on the A59 towards the city centre, after the second roundabout at the T-junction turn right onto Blossom Street. At the crossroads facing Micklegate Bar, go straight on through the bar. Priory Street is your first right approx. 300m. 15 Priory Street is set back from the main road approx. halfway down on the left.

Bus
There is a regular bus service to York City Centre. The nearest stops are at York Train Station, Blossom Street or Nunnery Lane (depending on which bus route you are using). See walking directions below.

Walking from York Train Station
With your back to the station turn right from the entrance and use the pedestrian crossing to cross the road, turn right and follow the road round to the crossroads. Turn right and continue along Micklegate.
Walking from opposite York Train Station
Turn to the left and follow the road round to the crossroads. Turn right and continue along Micklegate.
Walking from Blossom Street
Walk towards Micklegate Bar.
Walking from Nunnery Lane
Walk towards the crossroads (heading to the Train Station) at the crossroads turn right onto Micklegate.
From all directions go through Micklegate Bar and Priory Street is your first right (approx. 300 metres). 15 Priory Street is set back from the main road approx. halfway down on the left. Please enter via reception during office hours, signs will be visible for entry outside of office hours.
