On 14th May, The National Lottery Community Fund will bring funders together for an in-person event focusing on the ethical implications of AI for communities, and grantmakers’ responsibilities. Through peer workshops, lightning talks and expert demos, the event will explore what impact community involvement could have in the development of AI technology – and what’s at stake if these voices aren’t included. The event will explore ways in which funders can act collectively, as well as looking at the risks AI poses, and how funders could help mitigate them. The free event is open to funders and grantmaking organisations.
