What is the IOPC Youth Panel?
The IOPC Youth Panel enables young people to support, challenge, and influence the work of the IOPC, the police complaints system, and policing.
- Together, we voice, explore and tackle, pressing issues impacting young people and policing and influence systems change and policymaking within the sector by engaging with national and regional decision-makers.
Who should apply?
- We are seeking a diverse group of passionate young people aged 16-25 from all backgrounds and life experiences in England and Wales.
- This year, we are particularly keen to hear from those who may have experience in alternative education, the care system, or have direct involvement with the criminal justice system and the police.

- Make your voice heard:Help convene and deliver national and regional influencing events to capture and amplify the views of young people on key issues affecting them.
- Directly impact decisions and policymaking & drive positive change: In our youth-led national influencing work (led by our2030 Manifesto for Change), you have a chance to bring your concerns directly to key decision-makers from across the sector, and act as an advocate for your peers, working together to co-produce real solutions and implementation plans for systemic change.
