ChangeX, a registered charity, has opened the ServiceNow Community Improvement Fund in the UK in collaboration with ServiceNow. The funding is intended to support communities to take local action on climate challenges by backing sustainable infrastructure and nature-based solutions.
Grants of up to £25,000 per project are available. ChangeX anticipates that three to five projects will receive support in the UK through this round.
The call is open to schools and registered non-profit organisations based in the UK that are eligible to receive grant support and can provide relevant documentation. The organisation representative submitting an application must be at least 18 years old. Projects should also include opportunities for ServiceNow employees to volunteer during activation or implementation.
Applicants may submit their own project idea or apply to deliver one of three established climate concepts:
- Ecosystem Restoration Communities, which focuses on rebuilding soil, improving water systems and increasing local biodiversity on degraded land.
- Precious Plastic, which supports communities to recycle plastic and convert waste into products.
- Youth-Led Solar, which involves teenagers planning, raising support for and implementing a photovoltaic installation in their community.
Indicative maximum award levels are listed as up to £11,000 for Youth-Led Solar, up to £18,000 for Ecosystem Restoration Communities and up to £20,000 for Precious Plastic Workspaces.
Projects must take place within the UK and address water or solar infrastructure or nature-based solutions, with an emphasis on positive and inclusive outcomes for local communities. Support can be used towards direct set-up costs such as space rental, insurance fees, seeds and planting materials, tools, training fees and other materials needed to deliver community benefit.
The deadline for applications is 19 June 2026.
