YWU wants to thank and congratulate Hamza a member of the West Yorkshire Youth Collective and a board member Kirklees Youth Alliance, who submitted some evidence to Parliament for the NEET consultation, highlighting that it’s rarely a lack of motivation holding young people back – it’s a lack of clear pathways. To fix this, the submission calls for:

🚀 Delivering high-quality careers advice much earlier;
🚀 Removing the stigma and practical barriers surrounding apprenticeships;

🚀 Giving young people a genuine voice in shaping the support systems they rely on.
