The Let’s Celebrate Towns competition has opened for entries from towns across the UK. The joint initiative by Visa and Nationwide recognises projects that are helping towns become stronger, more resilient and vibrant.

The competition covers five categories:

  • High Street Revival
  • Backing Local Business
  • Protecting Valued Places
  • Connected Places
  • Community Pride

Five winning towns will each receive a £20,000 grant towards a community project or initiative.

Funding can support projects that address local challenges and strengthen communities. Eligible activities include initiatives that support businesses, revitalise high streets and protect valued places. Previous projects supported through the initiative have included cultural festivals, high street regeneration and heritage restoration.

Entries are invited from MPs and local leaders, local authorities and town councils, as well as community groups and organisations. Successful entrants will also have the opportunity to attend a national awards ceremony at the Houses of Parliament.

The deadline for applications is 25 October 2026 (23:59).
