Almost a quarter of a million young people have received a potentially life-saving MenB vaccination as the NHS urges eligible students to get their second dose before starting university

Figures released by the NHS show that 246,089 doses of the meningococcal B (MenB) vaccine were given between the programme’s start on 20 July and 31 August 2026.
