The British Council is inviting applications for the NXT:now UK-Germany programme, which supports artistic projects exploring challenges affecting young people aged 18 to 30.

The initiative is intended to encourage varied artistic perspectives on cultures shaped by and influencing this generation. It will support new collaborations between organisations in the UK and Germany, as well as the meaningful development of existing projects, including their first international iterations.

Grants of up to £20,000 are available for each partnership. The partnership must involve organisations from both countries. Eligible applicants include arts and cultural organisations, festivals, biennials, creative hubs, collectives and networks operating in the arts, culture and creative industries.

Funding may cover the development and delivery of physical, digital or hybrid arts activity. Supported work must take place between 1 April 2027 and 31 March 2028. Examples of eligible activity include performances, exhibitions, immersive experiences, digital environments and games-based work.

The deadline for applications is 10 January 2027 (23:59 CET).
