Funding is available for registered charities across England to deliver a variety of projects and activities that increase access to sport, movement, and performing arts activities for children and young people facing barriers to participation.
Grants of up to £25,000 per year for up to two years are available for projects that achieve the following outcomes:
- Enhanced sense of belonging.
- Increased participation in sport, movement, or performing arts.
- Reduced barriers to participation for young people.
In this round, priority will be given to:
- Targeted interventions designed for young people facing a specific barrier to participation.
- Projects delivered outside of London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, and Liverpool.
- Projects delivered in community settings rather than mainstream education.
- Organisations with a strong track record, a positive approach to collaboration, and delivery that draws on young people’s voices and lived experience.
- Potential to contribute to strengthening an organisation’s capacity beyond the project.
Funding can be used for project delivery costs and a share of the organisation’s core costs.
There is a two-stage application process. Groups must first submit an online expression of interest before being shortlisted to complete a full application.
The deadline to submit an expression of interest is 11 October 2026.
