Resources and Space to Connect

Following the devastating incident in Southport last week and escalating concerns about disinformation, discrimination and violence across the UK, UK Youth is partnering with the National Youth Agency, and the Network of Regional Youth Work Units, and others to provide a coordinated response to the network of youth organisations and allied professionals working with young people across the UK.

As part of our coordinated response, we are providing resources for youth workers and allied professionals with focus on disinformation, tackling hate, and signposting to advice and support on trauma, safeguarding and lock down procedures. You can access these resources here:

Space to Connect Sessions

Join UK Youth, NYA and the Network of Regional Youth Work Units for a shared space for youth workers and allied professionals working with young people to connect, reflect and provide support for one another following recent unrest within our communities.

At its core, youth work promotes unity, understanding, and peaceful dialogue as alternatives to frustration, violence and division. Its life-changing – and even life-saving – potential is needed in times like this.  However we understand that youth workers are feeling vulnerable, sometimes isolated and scared and we hope these spaces will be a space to stand together in solidarity for each other, and to explore a way forward for young people. The sessions will be supported by trained facilitators.
