A survey of more than 10,000 teachers in England, carried out by TeacherTapp on behalf of Fareshare, found that 28% of those asked had brought in food for pupils during the last term, an increase of 26% during the summer term in 2023. In the most deprived areas figures increased by 5% compared with the previous year, with London and the North Worst among the worst affected.
