It’s great to have the Centre for Youth Voice recognised in CYP Now. Our aim has always been to build a space where young people can share their experiences and influence change, and this is just the beginning. We want to keep working with partners to make sure youth voice is meaningful, consistent and drives better outcomes for young people. – Matthew Walsham, Centre for Youth Voice Project Lead
The Centre for Youth Voice, the youth participation information hub, has been adopted by the Regional Youth Work Units following the closure of former host YMCA George Williams College in March, with a renewed focus on strengthening how young people influence decisions and services. The site is designed to be practical, not theoretical. If an organisation wants young people to conduct peer research, they can find guides and case studies showing how others have done it, or just training on how to recruit, co-design methods, or analyse with data with young people.
