The Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, Lisa Nandy, has announced the Government’s commitment to co-produce a National Youth Strategy .This marks a significant achievement for the National Youth Sector Advisory Board, as it aligns with the primary policy recommendation outlined in the NYA’s Roadmap to a National Youth Strategy. This announcement signals a commitment to developing a long-term plan focused on young people.

The National Youth Sector Advisory Board is expected to play a crucial role in shaping the design of the National Youth Strategy, in addition to the strategy, the Government has introduced a Civil Society Covenant, aimed at resetting the relationship between Government and Civil Society. A consultation for the sector on the Civil Society Covenant Framework is currently open and will run until Thursday 12 December.
