On the 10th March 2026, the Department for Education announced significant reforms to England’s post-16 education system, which will include the introduction of a new qualification called ‘V Levels’.

These reforms aim to streamline post-16 options available to young people after completing their GCSEs, and to strengthen the pathways that lead to higher education, apprenticeships and employment.
