Rebel Therapies, a North London organisation supporting children, young people and families affected by problematic technology use, addressed MPs at a cross-party parliamentary briefing at the Palace of Westminster. The event, Beyond the Ban: Building Digital Resilience for the Next Generation, brought together experts from technology, education and child safety to discuss how the UK can better protect young people online. Speakers emphasised that improving children’s mental health, preparing them for an AI-driven future and building digital resilience require more than social media restrictions, calling instead for better education, safer digital tools and technology designed with children’s wellbeing in mind.
