A sixth former says young people have a “responsibility as the new generation” and a “chance to make a real difference” when it comes to climate change.
Jed from Royal Wootton Bassett Academy was one of many students from two Wiltshire schools to share his thoughts at the Sustain Britain Schools Conference 2026.
While Anna, a student at Malmesbury school said it is a “very big worry” and “quite frustrating because it just feels like not enough action is being taken”.
It comes after the hottest summer on record in the UK, according to provisional data from the Met Office.
