KYA are delighted to be launching our new membership process along with an enhanced Members’ Directory on our website in March.
There are three main reasons for the changes:
1) We want to be clear to everyone that we are a youth work charity and that our focus is on working with organisations who align with professional youth work principles.
2) We are introducing “Quality for Youth”, our bespoke quality assurance framework, starting with the Bronze Q4Y Standard which will be integrated into the membership process. This will tell families and stakeholders that our Member delivery organisations have met basic compliance standards.
3) We want families and practitioners to be able to search more effectively for organisations delivering youth work across Kirklees.
