At the end of June, after years of building a fantastic network of VCSE sector youth organisations, KYA is launching its first grants’ programme for members. Our £360k Core Memories Fund will be aimed at members delivering activities/ initiatives/ services to 14-25 year olds in 4 priority groups:
– LGBTQ+ young people
– care experienced young people
– those at risk of, or currently, excluded from school (including those who have “self-excluded”)
– learning disabled and neurodivergent young people
Grants of up to £5,000 and £10,000 will be available as well as a number of larger awards of up to £25,000 where we will be focusing on workforce development.
We are thrilled to be delivering this grants programme alongside 5 other similar youth partnerships across England and working with YPF Trust and the Henry Smith Foundation.
Before we launch the fund to members, we are meeting young people across Kirklees from the priority groups so they can help us design the programme. When we officially launch, there will be a period of co-design with members so you too can have an opportunity to develop the programme.
