Millions of people across the UK are set to benefit from improved access to jobs, education and public services, thanks to a £104 million funding boost announced by the government.

The funding, delivered through the Local Transport Grant, will be shared with communities outside England’s major cities, empowering local authorities to invest in transport schemes that matter most to their residents.  The government has confirmed individual allocations for each local authority, with significant uplifts for regions including  Yorkshire and Humber,
