Create a better future with the Mayor’s big ideas challenge

We’re looking for young minds ready to make a difference

The Mayor of West Yorkshire, Tracy Brabin, launched the big ideas challenge to harness the incredible potential of the region’s 16 to 26-year-olds.

The finalists will take part in a specially designed programme, which will support them to take the problems that they care about, learn how to develop creative solutions, and pitch these ideas confidently.

The programme is free to attend – apply by 30 November 2025

Every team or individual who completes the programme gets a minimum £100 voucher. Ideas are assessed against three additional criteria, with the chance to win extra prizes worth up to £625.
