Research in Practice has published a blog post on the NSPCC’s Together for Childhood (TfC) place-based programme, in which local residents and agencies based in 4 UK towns and cities collaborate to help prevent abuse and neglect. The blog explores the lessons learned from evaluating a place-based initiative, including: the need to capture and celebrate small changes as change is often slow and long-term; the importance of local embedded evaluations; and recognising that each place is unique with its own strengths and challenges that should be considered in context with evaluation findings.
