On Tuesday, 23rd July, members of the West Yorkshire Youth Collective, the youth board for the West Yorkshire Health Care Partnership / Integrated Care Board, met in Leeds.  They had an early start, meeting with Alison Lowe Deputy Mayor for West Yorkshire and staff from the WY Violence Reduction Unit to explore how the work of the Combined Authority and the ICB relate to each other.  How the concerns of young people are heard and influence policy.  Following the meeting, they got together over ‘hot chocolate and cake’, to develop their plans, work on their joint health day with the other region’s health youth boards planned for November and how they could work along side the Regional Ethnic Majority Youth (REMY) to support their work tackling inequalities, picking up on the recent EDI work of the ICB.
