We are seeking to appoint a small number of committed and enthusiastic Youth Workers and/or Youth Support Workers to join a highly motivated and successful team. Individuals appointed will desirably have experience in youth work delivery and essentially have the confidence and ability to engage positively with groups of young people. The post holder will undertake a JNC-recognised youth work qualification at Level 3 (or above) in parallel with their post if they do not hold this qualification already…

Youth Worker

Experience

• 1+ years’ experience in youth work
• Experience of either detached youth work or mental health
• JNC-recognised youth work qualification (Level 3 or above)

Job spec – Youth Worker

• Location: (Office base) 12 South Parade, Wakefield, WF1 1LR, (Project work) Barnsley, Wakefield or Leeds
• Pay scale: TYA Level 2 (£28,947), paid at £17.62/hour
• Benefits: Employer contributory pension scheme up to 8% gross salary. Own transport mileage allowance
• Hours: Part time (between 4 and 30 hours per week), to be discussed with TYA management, based on allocated project, experience and organisational need
• Contract length: Permanent but variable hours

Youth Support Worker

Experience

• Experience of working with young people
• Capacity to pursue a Level 3 JNC-recognised youth work qualification

Job spec – Youth Support Worker

• Location: (Office base) 12 South Parade, Wakefield, WF1 1LR, (Project work) Barnsley, Wakefield or Leeds
• Pay scale: TYA Level 1 (£27,624), paid at £16.82 / hour
• Benefits: Employer contributory pension scheme up to 8% gross salary. Own transport mileage allowance
• Hours: Part time (between 4 and 30 hours per week), to be discussed with TYA management, based on allocated project, experience and organisational need
• Contract length: Permanent but variable hours
