The Electoral Commission is inviting schools, colleges and youth groups in England and Northern Ireland to pilot a new democratic education framework from September 2026 to January 2027. Developed with the Politics Project, the framework provides impartial resources, training and guidance to help young people understand democracy, voting and civic participation. Participating organisations will assess their current provision, trial resources and provide feedback to inform the framework’s national rollout in spring 2027.
