The Joined Up Summit marks the launch of the Joined Up Institute – a year-round, cross-sector experiential learning initiative, bringing together young people with professionals from youth services, education, employment, health, social care, criminal justice, business, government, and civil society to share and scale what works in transforming outcomes for young people across the UK.
The ambition is to gather young people and diverse cross sector senior leaders during Youth Work Week to showcase best practices, forge new partnerships, and drive collective action. The Summit will catalyse a new era of joined up working that puts young people’s needs and aspirations at the forefront.
The event will take place on Thursday 7th November at The Vox, Birmingham, UK. Funded by; Youth Futures Foundation, KKR, Osbourne Clarke, NCS, Prudence Trust, Blagrave Trust and Big Change Charitable Trust.
We’re seeking examples of best practices in cross-sector collaboration that have positively impacted young people over the last 10 years. This can be anything from a successful programme or joint initiative to a piece of research, a new organisation, or advances in knowledge, leadership, or workforce development. Whether it’s a local project or a national movement, we want to hear about it!
Our goal is for The Joined Up Summit to be an immersive, experiential, and inclusive event – something that feels distinctly different from a traditional conference. We are committed to making it a space where everyone can participate in ways that feel comfortable and empowering.
Additionally, we want to accelerate progress on racial equity and focus on supporting vulnerable children and young people at risk of violence and harm.
If you’d like to help shape this UK-wide initiative and attend the Summit, please submit your evidence via our submission form by Friday, 20th September, 5pm for the event on 7th November.
While space at the Summit is limited, our ambition is that submissions shared will kick start a series of new events next year, with more spaces available. We’ll keep you updated through this newsletter, our website, and other channels.
