The community commissioners from the first Hull Poverty Truth Commission, Hull City Council, and the evaluators from the University of Hull are pleased to invite you to our interactive The Truth About Poverty exhibition at 20-22 Brook Street, HU2 8LA,
We had a soft launch last week of our Truth about Poverty Shop – which went very well and said we would update you on what next.
We have lots of interactive displays have some workshops there are the opening times
Drop – in – open from Tuesday 17th December- Thursday 19th December 10:30- 3pm.
There are various interesting stations to visit in the exhibition with different themes and interactive activities for people to engage with, including a Cabinet of Pooriosity – items that relate to poverty, make do and mend etc, Precarity Jenga – one more issue and it all collapses, spinning yarn to spin a yarn – storytelling, painting ‘the houses we want’, and – Mish Mash Meals – a celeriac and pick 8 other random items that you might get in a foodbank bag to make a meal, Poverty protests, the MY Pockets film🙂and much more.
