an opportunity for young people (14–17) with lived or family experience of conflict, migration, or displacement to shape real change.
Young Peacemakers work together over one year to share their stories, build skills in campaigning and advocacy, and create a youth-led project that will be presented to Members of Parliament. We especially encourage young people from Sudanese, Palestinian, Afghan, Somali, Syrian, Ukrainian, and Yemeni communities to apply but all backgrounds are welcome.
Starting January 2026, the group will take part in:
• Monthly in-person sessions at our UK office
• A weekend residential
• Online workshops and meetings
Who can join?
• Young people aged 14–17 living in the UK
• With lived or family experience of conflict, migration, or being a refugee
• Able to commit to monthly meetings and a residential weekend
We’d be grateful if you could share this opportunity with the young people and families you work with, including in your newsletters or community messages.
Applications open on December 1st, and we will share the link once it goes live. Until then, young people can send an expression of interest to ypa@savethechildren.org.uk.
