Following a successful feasibility study of the Summer Jobs Programme last year run by UK Youth, the programme is set to expand significantly in 2025. It will now offer 1,500 paid work placements to young people across England and Wales. Funded by the Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) and Youth Futures Foundation (YFF), with previous investment from DCMS, this expansion builds upon the success of similar programmes in the US, where it has helped to reduce young people becoming involved in violence over summer months. It will provide valuable work experience run by leading employers and empower young people to build brighter futures.
