The House of Lords Public Services Committee is inviting written evidence for an inquiry into the effectiveness of children’s social care in England. The inquiry will examine rising demand and local authority spending, shortages of foster carers, residential care provision, workforce challenges and the use of unregistered children’s homes. It will also consider regulation, support for kinship carers and outcomes for care-experienced children. Individuals and organisations with relevant experience or expertise are encouraged to contribute. Deadline for submitting written evidence is Monday 26 October.
