This new report from ECPAT UK, who we support through the Youth Strategic Investment Fund, and the UK Independent Anti-Slavery Commissioner exposes serious gaps in the identification, protection and support of child victims. The findings highlight alarming disparities in trafficking identification decisions, persistently low numbers of prosecutions and convictions, and growing concerns about the impact of proposed immigration reforms on children who have experienced trafficking. The report calls on the government to develop and implement a comprehensive, cross-government Child Exploitation Strategy to prevent exploitation and ensure every child victim is identified, protected and supported.
