The European Accessibility Act (EAA) is a set of accessibility requirements shared by all European Union (EU) member states and it comes into effect on 28 June 2025. The Act is a law requiring all digital products and services in the European Union to be accessible to people with disabilities.

If your organisation provides goods or services to the European Union (EU) market, ReciteMe has created a compliance checklist and more information on the EAA. AccessibleEU’s website also has a dedicated section with several guidelines prepared and reviewed by accessibility experts that will help you understand and comply with the European Accessibility Act.

Even if your organisation does not need to legally comply with the Act, the guidance and information could be useful to support your website and digital services to be fully accessible.
